Conley Cemetery, Baxter County, Arkansas

Newton Webber.
1 CONT Newton Webber was born October 28, 1860, in Baxter county, Arkansas.
1 CONT He was married to Nancy A. Cooper, August 31, 1890. To this union eight children were born.
1 CONT In 1911 he was converted and joined the Methodist Church. He later became a Freewill Baptist.
1 CONT He had been in poor health for some time. At two o'clock on January 15, 1928, he quietly passed into the great beyond. He was a kind father and good neighbor.
1 CONT He is survived by his wife, eight children, one brother, one sister and a host of friends.
1 CONT On the 16th of January he was laid to rest in the Conley cemetery, Rev. W. M. Cooper of Mountain Home conducting the funeral services.

To the many friends and neighbors who so kindly gave us every assistance during the sickness and death that took from us our dear husband and father, we wish to extend out most sincere thanks. Many beautiful floral offering were received and appreciated.

1 CONT Obit: (Date unknown and I assume the Baxter County Paper)
Mrs. Minnie Webber, who was born in Baxter county, Ark., March 8, 1872, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Cooper, who on August 31, 1890, became the wife of Newton Webber , who departed this life January 15, 1928, to go and live with Jesus. Was converted and united with the M. E. Church in 1911 and later united with the Freewill Baptist Church and lived a true devoted life to God, her loved ones and friends of whom will miss her loving tender affectionate care and kindness. Mrs. Webber departed this life February 22, 1935, at Gassville, Ark., only to go and dwell with Jesus, her loved ones and friends. Born to this union were eight children, all of whom are living. Misses Cordelia, Pearl, Althea and Rosine Webber, Mrs. Wilson Presley and Mrs. Eugene Partee, Mr. Virgil and Homer Webber. Also five brothers, Mr. Joe, Warren, Frank, Cleve and Lawrence Cooper. Two sisters, Mrs. Laura Strawhorn and Mrs. M. J. White, and seven grandchildren all to mourn the loss of a mother and sister. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. L. B. Traylor of Mountain Home. The remains were laid to rest at the Conley cemetery February 23, 1935, beside her husband.
