 Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Erkman, Jim, Emily and Susan of Dubuque, Iowa, are visiting in the home of Mrs. Erkmans' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Mitchell and Ed Mitchell. Bob Mitchell of 33 West College street is a brother also and this visit is a happy family reunion.

 John Lampe
 Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m., Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for John W. Lampe, 84, Topeka, who died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.
 He was born Aug 7, 1918, in Hooker, Okla., to Bernard J. and Catherine Elizabeth Kuhl Lampe. He graduated from high school in 1936 in Peace Valley, Mo. He moved to Topeka in 1953. He had been a plant manager at various fertilizer companies for more than 25 years. After he retired, he was a custodian at Grantville Grade School in Grantville.
 He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a chief motor machinist in the Navy.
 He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Friday Pad Coffee Club.
 He married Helen Stuart in 1942 in St. Louis. She survives. An infant daughter died in 1958. Another daughter, Susan A. Presley, died in 2000.
 Other survivors include two sons, John W. Lampe Jr., Fort Pierce, Fla., and James B. Lampe, Atchison; a daughter, Sharon E. Mason, Topeka; three sisters, Bernice Robinson, Sand Diego, Agnes Gilliam, Craig, Colo., and Gertrude Eggers, St. Louis; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
 Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery. Mr. Lampe will lie in state from 8 a.m. Thursday until 1 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
 Contributions may be made to the John W. Lampe Memorial Fund yet to be designated and sent in care of the funeral home.
