Charles G. Dablemont
Charles G. Dablemont, of Rolla, passed away Monday, January 12, 2004 at the age of 73. He was born January 7, 1931 in Edgar Springs, Missouri, to the late George A. and Zella (Webber) Dablemont.
Charles was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He served as a metalsmith in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and continued working in the trade for 35 years, eventually becoming the President of MG Metals Construction.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lula, and three brothers, John, Ed, and David Dablemont.
Survivors include his sister, Alma Vogeler and husband, Harold, of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughter, Cindy Glass, of Kansas City, Mo.; Kathy Dabbs and husband Tom, of Harrisonville, Mo.; Martha McWhorter, of Independence, Mo.; one son, Mathew Dablemont, of Rolla; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service with full Military Honors for Charles G. Dablemont will be held graveside at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2004 in the Roach Cemetery with Pat Maxwell officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 in the Rolla Chapel of the James and Gahr Mortuary. All arrangements are under the direction of the James and Gahr Mortuary.
