 Edgar Springs, Mo. - Thelma Ann McBride, of Edgar Springs, Mo., passed away Saturday Nov. 21, 2009, at the age of 90.
 Thelma A. McBride was born on Dec. 23, 1918 in Edgar Springs, Mo. to Kirb and Pearl (Dunham) Widener. On Sept. 11, 1938, she married Elmer L. McBride in Vienna, Mo. Elmer preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1997.
 In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John K. Widener and one sister, Chloe Keaton.
 Thelma was the great granddaughter of Rolla’s first settler, John Webber. She owned and operated a small antique shop in Edgar Springs, Mo. She also worked part-time in her brother’s store, J.K. Widener Market. In 1956, Thelma won a new Plymouth car in a promotional sponsored by the Rolla Daily News. In 1959, she won a new Buick in a similar promotional sponsored by the Rolla Herald.
 Thelma loved spending time with family and friends, fellowship and cooking.
 She was a member of Union Church of Edgar Springs, Mo.
 Thelma will be sadly missed by her surviving family which includes: One son, Jerry E. McBride and wife, Deloris, of Edgar Springs, Mo.; one daughter, Sharon L. Green and husband, Dewayne, of Waynesville, Mo.; six grandchildren; Michael Green of Waynesville, Mo., Shari (Green) Bollenbach of Lebanon, Mo., Shannon Green and wife, Penny, of Lebanon, Mo., Heather (McBride) Adams and husband, Michael of Rolla, Mo., Jarrett McBride and Debrina of Edgar Springs, Mo., and Ginger McBride of Edgar Springs, Mo.; six great grandchildren; special nieces, Gayle Coverdell and June Ousley, both of Edgar Springs, Mo.; sister-in-law, Faye Widener of Edgar Springs, Mo.; many other family and friends.
 A funeral service for Thelma Ann McBride will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla.
 Interment will follow at the Edgar Springs Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at the funeral home.
 Memorial contributions are suggested to the Union Church of Edgar Springs, Mo. Online condolences may be offered at nullandsonfuneralhome.com.
