William "Bill" Gloer was born in Arkansas about 1858 in Arkansas and died before 1891. He was married to Lucy Payne who was born May 25, 1862 in AR or TN or KY. After Bill's death Lucy married a James T. Glover on October 17, 1893, a Benjamin Maples and after his death a Anderson Whitfield Thompson. Lucy died March 14, 1937 and is buried in Conley Cemetery, Baxter Co., Arkansas.

Bill is listed as a farmer in the census records.

To the union of Bill and Lucy was born the following know children: 1) Florence Gloer b. 1879 2) Cora Belle Gloer b. December 18, 1881 in Baxter Co. Ark. 3) William Chester Gloer b. January 14, 1884 4) John Lee Gloer b. April 4, 1888 5) Ida Gloer b. 1889

To the union on Benjamin and Lucy the following known children were born: Seamith (Samantha???) b. January 1900

There are no known children of the marriage with Anderson Thompson.
