The Cowsills aboard the Black Pearl
Performing regularly on television variety shows, the Cowsills turned down an offer to film their own show which ultimately became The Partridge Family. The Cowsills were the first to be awarded a mulimillion-dollar celebrity endorsement contract, appearing in ads for the American Dairy Association. Some band members were Grammy Award presenters wile still in grade school, and Susan was the youngest female to ever have a Top 10 hit, at the age of eight. They are cruising here aboard Black Pearl in Newport in 1968. By 1972, the band had gone their separate ways, but they have continued to record and play music across the country for the past 40 years.
