Celebrities Who Care: Benefit Softball Game In Ronkonkoma

Celebrities from the music world, sports, comedy, acting and other stars will take part in the annual “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” softball benefit game on Sunday August 14 at the CYA Complex, located on Easton Street in Ronkonkoma. Tickets can be purchased at the gate; online tickets purchases are now available at ronkonkomachamber.com. Tickets are $10 with children (12 and under) admitted free to the game.

Ronkonkoma Chamber member and spokesperson Mick Du Russell has confirmed the attendance of celebrities that will server in all facets of the game; some will play on the field, while others will serve as announcers, scorekeepers, and take part in other duties. Attending the softball game (at press time; more stars were to be added as we went to press): Classic rock band The Cowsills (“Hair,” “The Rain, The Park & Other Things”), actors Tom Sizemore and Stefan Arngrim; Bobby “Dawg” Fortier of Team Dawg; area TV hose Donna Drake; comedians Chris Roach, John Mingoia, Stacey Prussman, and Richie Minervini; musicians Joanne “J-Bird” Phillips, Anthony Mingioia (Patent Pending), Tito Batista, Katreese Barnes, and Marissa Mulder; former MLB player Don DeMola; the April 2005 Playboy Magazine Playmate of the Month, Courtney Culkin; model and actress Alida Lang; author and talk show host Stephen Miller; and many more celebrities
