MEMPHIS – The bright and happy sound of The Cowsills, western actor Doug McClure in a new role as a pop-country singer, the story-telling folk songs of composer-recording artist-actress Buffy Sainte-Marie and the comedic hijinks of Minnie Pearl, the Gal from Ginder’s Switch, highlight Johnny Cash’s weekly ABC-TV variety program. “The Johnny Cash Show,” Saturday, July 5 at 9:30-10:30 p.m.

The Cowsills (mother Barbara and six of her youngsters) then sing “Monday, Monday,” after which Johnny sits in with them for “children Go Where I Send Thee.”
