Musical families in the news are the Sarsteds, who came from Delhi to settle in England, and the Cowsills, from the United States, who made a three-day stop off in London on their way to the San Remo Song Festival.

At the London reception which was their only appearance in Britain, the Cowsills impressed with both their beaty, tuneful fresh music, and their youth. Six members of the family, mother, four boys, ranging in age from 20 to the impressive 11-year-old drummer, and little sister Susan, appear on stage, with two more brothers and dad busy behind the scenes. Home to them all is a 22-room mansion on a Newport, Rhode Island hill.
After quite a struggle the Cowsillls became a sensation with a Stateside chart-topper, "The Rain The Park And Other Things," and they now try to make an impression on our charts with a tuneful beater. "We Can Fly" (MGM). Their music has the same uncomplicated appeal as did The Monkee's, but perhaps we are not as sentimental as the Americans regarding the big happy family bit.
