Excitement, Education, Fun at Utah State Fair

One toe, clinging to a wobbly trapeze bar, was all that kept him from falling 400 feet to his death.

Dave Merrifield, performing on a trapeze bar which hung beneath a moving helicopter, waved to the crowd of thousands in the grandstand below him, then effortlessly pulled himself upright to the bar and waved again.

This feat is just one of the many fantastic attractions happening at the Utah State Fair this week in Salt Lake City.

Such performers as John Davidson, who performed Saturday and Sunday, and the Cowsills and the Baja Marimba Band will bring stars and screams to the middle generation while the whole family clan laugh at the antics of Gentle Ben, the famous television bear, Mark Wilson, one of the nation's top magicians, and Art Linkletter.
