The probability of seeing a mother in the front line of her son’s rock group seems pretty slim in this youth age, but it will happen when The Cowsills perform at the New York State Fair.

The family vocal-instrumental combo is singing its way to the top ten hits with “Indian Lake.”

On stage is an 18-year-old guitarist, 19-year-old pianist, 12-year old bass player and the wildest 11-year-old drummer you’ve ever seen. Off stage are Dan and two more boys. Mom comes in for the soft numbers and 8-year-old sister Suzie is featured on some novelties.

On the entertainment scene, in keeping with the State Fair’s policy, 1969 will again bring seven full days of the top names in show business at the Entertainment Center in continues free shows from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. featuring such well-known share as the Young Americans, and many country and western favorites.
