Did you catch the Cowsills on Sunday’s “Ed Sullivan Show?” Those of you who did were no doubt delighted by the six swinging members of this Newport, R.I. family as they performed their way through a medley that gave each Cowsill the chance to solo. And well they did, in spite of some audio difficulty at the beginning.
Sullivan is obviously impressed with the Cowsills’ showbiz potential. He has signed them for a reported 30 performances over the next four years. Cowsill fans will also be able to see their favorite family on upcoming Danny Thomas and Smothers Brothers shows.
The group currently holds down the No. 5 position on our chart with their smash hit, “The Rain, The Park & Other Things.”
