Highlighting Thursday's events will be the Homecoming concert featuring the Cowsills and Carnvival. To be at 8:30 p.m., in the Fieldhouse, the concert is $1.75 for bleachers seating. Green and playing floor seats are sold out.
The Cowsills having two gold records to their credits, are a family singing group. Their melodic psychedelic sound appealed to youthful listeners while the "family organization" appealed to the over-30 generation.
Recently singing to capacity audiences at the Utah State Fair, the Cowsills have appeared on two television specials and on numerous shows like Ed Sullivan, Johnny Carson and Merv Griffin.
The Carnival, also performing with the Cowsills, were once part of "Brasil '66." A contemporary group they still lean toward sounds of Sergio Mendez.
