One reason the Cowsills have become the No. 1 family singing group presently on the entertainment scene is eight-year-old Susan, a favorite with audiences across the country.
Fresh from a successful engagement at Disneyland the Cowsills will open a cross-country tour with an appearance at the Catholic Youth Center Saturday night. Curtain time is 8:30.
The Cowsills rocketed to fame after an unheralded appearance on television’s Ed Sullivan show. Their impact was so great that Sullivan signed them for 12 additional visits to the Sunday variety entry.
The family group also has appeared on other top-rated TV shows, including the Music Hall and the “Today” show. They will be greeted by music-lovers from many points in North-eastern Pennsylvania.
Reservations are being received at the Spruce Record Shop, Scranton.
