TV TRICKS - If you can make it until the fall, the ABC-TV folks have a goody for you in the Partridge Family, a new Friday night series. Whole thing is about a singing family with mom and five kids making the music (if you say it sounds like the Cowsills, ABC will have you run over by a Three Dog Night record) and the most interesting thing is that those who have heard the Partridge gang in action say the music is real good. Group is made up of Shirley Jones, David Cassidy (her stepson) and studio musicians. Larry Uttal, president of Bell Records says the group is musically better than the Monkees or the Archies, the other launched-by-TV groups.
